in case you were wondering how those recommendations for restaurants in rome panned out, wonder no more. they were excellent. i went to all of the restaurants that were recommended and loved each one of them and would happily recommend them to others. in fact, i only ate at two places that weren't on the list and they were sooooo not as good. i imagine that it would be like a tourist picking 2 random places in new york and comparing them to 4 that i recommended. next time i'm going to ask for a much longer list of places to eat.
my ranking of the 4 places:
1. La Pace del Palato
2. Taverna Trilussa
3. Enoteca Ferrara
4. Santa Cristina la Quirinale
