the launch

alrighty, then. i've finally started my new pet project.

i've resisted the idea of starting a blog for a long time. writing a blog assumes that there are people out there who want to read it and i didn't feel entirely comfortable admitting to such conceit. i'm still feeling a bit uneasy about putting something out there, whatever that something and wherever there might be. but here goes...

i keep getting requests from friends to send them lists of places that i liked to eat and drink at because i'm not around to take them there anymore. i also get random calls from peeps as they're in mid-search for a place to eat. then, of course, there are the requests for info about the places i've traveled. it's a damn good thing i'm such a nerd and keep a log/journal of my favorite restaurants, bars and places to stay. basically, from now on, i'm going to use this medium as my log/journal for food, drink, travel and other miscellaneous nonsense.
